The Power of Vulnerability

We as a society are taught to shame our emotions. We are told to “be strong” and not show weakness: sadness, anger or vulnerability. What people often don’t realise is that vulnerability is strength. This TED talk by Brene Brown encapsulates a lot of the work that we do here at Brave Souls.

Opening your heart to vulnerability allows us to connect meaningfully, have strong relationships, be true to ourselves and be happy. There are some very important lessons in this talk, and understanding them is the first step in the journey of becoming who you really are.

Can I simply say what a relief to find somebody who really understands what they are talking about over the internet. You actually understand how to bring an issue to light and make it important. A lot more people have to look at this and understand this side of the story. I was surprised you’re not more popular given that you most certainly have the gift.
